Description

Our ever changing Sussex seas are a sight to behold and not to mention a photographers delight!

As part of a small group (max 5 people) explore Seaford Head, Cuckmere Haven, and Seven Sisters from afar, capturing beautiful coastal views and seascapes in the early light. Afterwards we’ll head to somewhere warm and edit a few of your photos and talk over the morning.

Itinerary
Descending to Cuckmere Haven we’ll take in the views on route, stop briefly for the optional Coast Guard cottages picture postcard, before reaching the Sea and Cuckmere River. Here’s where you’ll be introduced to the magic of seascape photography including long exposure photography!

We don’t know what conditions we’ll have for the day, it could be snow, fog or sunshine, but we will have a high-tide moving into an outward flowing tide to add interest.

Before Booking
– Moderate fitness and mobility is required to naviagate the paths, beach and in particular the hill back to the car park
– A variable ND filter (approx £30) is required for this workshop. I will advise on this after you book.
– The lens included with your camera is all you need, however having one lens covering a good range of focal lengths, or 2 or more lenses may give you a few more options – not essential.
– The weather is always an unknown. In the case of very wet or unsafe weather the workshop will be rescheduled with the option of a full refund in this instance
– I’m self-employed and sadly can’t issue refunds for any other reason, but if there’s time to spare I will try to resell your ticket and will always do my best to help however I can.

Frequently Asked Questions

A Limited Edition is where the photograph is produced in small numbers to maintain exclusivity. The edition number is hand-written on a white-border surrounding the print e.g. 1/25 is the 1st print of 25 available.

The Edition Size is the number available and once these sell out no more will ever be available. See The Limited Edition Details on this page for the edition size.

95% of prints I sell are Limited Edition. Limited Edition isn’t mentioned for my Open Edition photographs – these are not restricted in the number available.

All Limited Edition Prints are hand-signed, titled, and numbered within the edition

Unframed Prints are protected and packaged in a thick postage tube. The smallest prints (30 x 20cm) may be sent in a rigid card envelope

Prints delivered in a tube will be rolled and require flattening out before framing – your framer can do this for you

Frames are available in a classic black finish or a modern, fresh white. FSC approved wood is the preferred option, and occassionally other options to suit

Perspex glazing is used for clarity and safety

Prints are produced using Archival Grade papers, inks, and frame mounting for enduring beauty

Positioning of your framed print is still important for maximum enjoyment; avoid placing your print in strong direct sunlight, high humidity areas, and above wall heaters
